The Nurse Manager at The University of Vermont Medical Center plays a critical role in facilitating the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position is responsible for planning, leading, and coordinating the provision of nursing services to a defined population of patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement nursing care plans that align with the organization's mission and strategic plan.
- Lead and manage a team of nurses to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
- Collaborate with administrators and other healthcare professionals to design and evaluate patient care systems and processes.
- Provide leadership and consultation to ensure the procurement of appropriate supplies and equipment.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and mix to deliver nursing care.
Requirements
- State of Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
- Master's Degree in nursing management or a related health field preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience, including healthcare leadership experience.
