Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for producing high-quality ultrasonic recordings of internal organs to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation
  • Prepare and position patients for examination
  • Select equipment and transducers for use in ultrasound setup
  • Start equipment and record diagnostic data
  • Monitor sound wave display screens and adjust equipment controls as needed
  • Photograph images of organs and remove strip printouts for permanent records
  • Key test data and patient information into computer systems
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Nuchal Translucency Certification within 3 months of hire
