As a Surgical Technologist - Weekender at University Hospitals, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services. Your responsibilities will include preparing and maintaining the operating room, handling and processing surgical instruments, and assisting surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain the operating room, including setting up and cleaning equipment
Handle and process surgical instruments, including sterilizing and storing them
Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, including passing instruments and maintaining a safe and organized environment
Comply with all policies and standards, including those related to patient confidentiality and safety

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of a surgical technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
Certification as a surgical technologist (CST) or certified surgical assistant (CSA)
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
Strong communication and teamwork skills
