We are seeking highly skilled Child Life Specialists to join our team at Boston Children's Hospital, a world-renowned leader in pediatric clinical care. Our Child Life Specialists play a vital role in enhancing patients' emotional, social, and cognitive growth during hospital visits, taking into consideration each child's family, culture, and developmental needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement developmental interventions and play to help patients and families adjust to and understand their healthcare experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care to patients and families.
  • Use child development theory and professional child life principles to resolve problems and make informed decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Child Life, or a closely related field with a concentration in Child Life.
  • Completion of a 600-hour Child Life internship under the supervision of a Certified Child Life Specialist.
  • Child Life Certification required within one year of hire.
