Speech Therapist Job Description

University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Schmieding Developmental Center. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a critical role in evaluating the speech and language skills of infants, children, and adolescents from birth to adolescence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate speech and language skills of patients using standardized assessments and clinical observations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language disorders.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Communicative Disorders or related field.
  • Arkansas License in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence or be eligible.
  • Two (2) years of pediatric experience in speech-language evaluations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Communicative Disorders.
