Key Responsibilities:


As a CNC Manufacturing Specialist, you will:

1. Leverage your expertise in manufacturing processes and machine operations to create detailed drawings or sketches that guide drafting personnel in completing process sequencing.

2. Utilize cutting tool technology, fixture design, and CNC programming techniques to establish optimal production practices.

3. Collaborate continuously with Machinists to enhance machining efficiencies and sustain standard machining techniques.

4. Implement lean manufacturing methodologies to improve manufacturing efficiencies and minimize costs.

5. Conduct research for equipment acquisition and develop Return on Investment (ROI) reports to justify equipment purchases.

6. Create manufacturing methods and work instructions for new products or equipment to meet productivity and quality standards.

7. Ensure that processes yield products that meet cost and quality expectations, ensuring reliability and consistency.

8. Determine necessary tools, jaws, speeds, feeds, and fixtures to support manufacturing operations.

9. Develop documentation to support machining programs using Computer Aided Manufacturing systems, ensuring production expectations for productivity, quality, and safety are met.

10. Facilitate training for Production Machinists to enhance their knowledge and skills.

11. Provide exceptional service to all internal and external customers, sharing knowledge and fostering a positive teamwork environment.

12. Act as a troubleshooter for assembly, machining, and manufacturing challenges, collaborating with various departments to resolve issues.

13. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

- A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field.

- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.

- U.S. citizenship is required.

- Proficiency in CNC programming with Mastercam and Siemens NX.

- Experience in a manufacturing shop floor environment.

- Familiarity with writing programming and standard work instructions.

- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and methodologies.

- Experience with MRP/ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, ACE, or CORE methodologies.

- Familiarity with SAP.

- Proficiency in design software such as CATIA V, Solidworks, or NX.

- Knowledge of Microsoft 365.
