Emergency Department Nurse

Job Summary:
The Emergency Department RN provides high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional outcomes. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing individualized care plans to address physical, emotional, and spiritual requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and utilize advanced life support techniques as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN licensure in Maryland or compact state.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency services or acute care.
- BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
- Certification in emergency nursing preferred.
