Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at The Sheridan at Severna Park. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications to residents in accordance with federal and state regulations, as well as our company's guidelines.
  • Conduct admissions assessments and document resident information, ensuring accurate and thorough records.
  • Develop and implement acute and long-term care plans, as well as service plans, to meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Monitor and track clinical systems, such as wound care and infection control, under the direction of our Director of Nursing/Health and Wellness Director.
  • Provide general consultation on health-related concerns within the community, promoting a culture of wellness and prevention.
  • Notify physicians and family members of any changes in a resident's health, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, prioritizing the safety and well-being of our residents.
  • Maintain open communication with all departments and staff members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Develop and lead educational meetings for residents and staff, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of resident and prospective resident information, upholding our company's commitment to privacy and security.
  • Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings, staying up-to-date on the latest best practices and industry developments.
Qualifications
  • Current Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse's License in the state where you will be practicing.
  • CPR certification.
  • Experience working in senior care or a related field, with a strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges of this population.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, handling multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Dedicated, compassionate, and energetic, with a passion for delivering exceptional care and service.
