Production Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to oversee and direct a designated production shift in our Rock Hill, SC facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and train shift employees, conduct performance reviews, and assist with hiring and terminations.
  • Ensure production quality on press, laminator, slitter, and seamer while providing quality sign-offs.
  • Manage equipment, personnel, and production schedules, monitoring efficiency and making necessary adjustments.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and anticipate potential problems.
  • Order production materials, review ink inventory, and manage adjustments and repairs for aniloxes and tint sleeves.
  • Perform minor machinery repairs and coordinate with maintenance for larger repairs.
  • Oversee shift clean-up procedures and ensure readiness for the next shift.
  • Improve and implement production procedures with other supervisors and supervise all production areas.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Leadership coursework or seminars.
  • Five years of hands-on manufacturing experience.
  • Proficient in computer systems, production planning, and scheduling.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Accurate and timely record-keeping.
  • Mechanical aptitude and flexographic printing experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and proactive management abilities.

Mobility to navigate the production floor is essential.

Availability:

The Production Supervisor must be available to work 12-hour shifts, three days per week.
