Overview

Kjs Market is seeking a skilled Cake Decorator PT to join our team. As a Cake Decorator PT, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing cakes and pastries that exceed our customers' expectations.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide exceptional customer service and greet all guests with a smile.
  2. Prepare products for sale by icing, decorating, pricing, packaging, and labeling.
  3. Maintain product levels, quality, and freshness in the bakery.
  4. Perform bakery clerk functions as needed.
  5. Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area, and sales area.
  6. Clean work areas, couplers, and decorating bags properly.
  7. Maintain the organization of the freezer, including proper rotation of product according to variety.
  8. Communicate guest requests to management and temperature breakdowns to supervisors.
  9. Keep supply areas neat, clean, and tidy at all times.
  10. Properly rotate icings and scrape down buckets.
  11. Use the cake manual as reference material.
  12. Write on cakes and mix colors according to the color chart.
  13. Mastery the use of the airbrush.
  14. Use the cake production sheet.
  15. Achieve budgeted sales, shrink, and profits for the cake section of the bakery.
  16. Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
  17. Ensure guest arrival standards are maintained by performing Front Porch duties.
  18. Announce specials and sale information on the PA system.
  19. Assist in product receiving and storage.
Qualifications
  1. Friendly and outgoing personality.
  2. Ability to work well with others.
  3. Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
  4. Ability to read and understand information and direction.
  5. Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
  6. Must be at least 18 years old.
  7. Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
