Job Summary

As a Packaging Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in our production process, operating high-speed and manual packaging machines to produce quality products that meet customer expectations of FDA-regulated medical devices. You will be responsible for gathering materials, loading packaging machines, performing packaging and software operations, and ensuring compliance with quality requirements and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and verify materials needed for production orders
  • Load materials into packaging machines and complete production
  • Perform packaging and software operations, including interfacing with machine HMIs
  • Interface with packaging applications, such as GPSII and RedZone
  • Understand and follow quality requirements, SOPs, and WIs
  • Follow company and department policies and safety guidelines
  • Perform routine checks on packaging machinery to ensure functionality and safety
  • Complete routine quality checks to ensure product meets corporate quality standards
Requirements
  • Knowledge of packaging equipment and software
  • Understanding of Redzone and GPSII applications
  • Basic computer skills and math abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes in workload and priorities
Work Environment

This role requires working in a noisy, dusty, and hot environment with exposure to extreme seasonal temperatures. You will be standing, walking, and bending for extended periods, with occasional kneeling and squatting. You must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and have good hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience with basic coursework in mathematics, PC, and business understanding or equivalent training and/or experience
  • Basic computer skills necessary for packaging software
  • Ability and dexterity to handle small items
  • Experience with medical device manufacturing and/or packaging in a FDA-compliant environment
