Position Overview:

As a part-time lecturer, your duties will encompass instruction, class preparation, grading, and holding office hours. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on departmental requirements.

Appointment Details:

Appointments are conditional and depend on enrollment and budgetary considerations. Initial appointments typically span one semester, with the possibility of renewal based on departmental needs and performance. Course assignments will be coordinated by the Department Chair in consultation with the College Dean.

Compensation:

Salary and rank for lecturer positions are determined by the hiring department, taking into account professional experience and educational qualifications. Most new hires will start at the Lecturer A or B rank, with compensation structured based on the number of teaching units assigned.

Qualifications:

Required: A Master’s degree in Geology or a related field.

Preferred: Previous teaching experience in Geology at the post-secondary level.
