Position Overview:

Location: Evanston

Edward Elmhurst Health is actively seeking a highly qualified Neonatologist to become a vital part of our Neonatology Division. The ideal candidate will have successfully completed an accredited fellowship in neonatology and will be board eligible or certified in both Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.

Requirements:

  • License: Must possess an Illinois Medical License or have a pending application.
  • Certification: Completion of an accredited neonatology fellowship and board certification/eligibility by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-house coverage for the NICU at Evanston Hospital during night shifts and weekends.
  • Work a schedule comprising 5 weeknight shifts and 2 weekend shifts monthly, totaling approximately 1500 hours annually.
  • Engage in educational activities for residents and other learners while on call.
  • Participate in clinical research or quality improvement initiatives alongside clinical responsibilities.
