Key Responsibilities

The Environmental Services Technician will undertake the following duties:

1. Conducting the collection of various environmental samples such as air, soil, water, and solid waste, as well as responding to spills and performing physical tasks related to material handling.

2. Ensuring the proper maintenance of specialized equipment and testing instruments, which includes installation, operation, and preventive maintenance, along with troubleshooting and inventory management.

3. Compiling and preparing data into organized tables, charts, and summaries based on fieldwork.

4. Upholding a safe and orderly work environment in alignment with company protocols and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as an environmental technician.

2. A solid foundation in industrial automation, mechanical systems, and telemetry, particularly in relation to environmental monitoring and remediation technologies.

3. Familiarity with automation instruments that facilitate communication and monitoring, along with programming skills in software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Labview, and Measurement Studio being advantageous.

4. Relevant vocational training or a degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or automation engineering.

5. Completion of OSHA Hazwoper training and ongoing updates.

6. Willingness to travel for client engagements both locally and internationally.
