Job Summary

The Senior Lead Counsel for Compliance and Security & Investigative Services/Cybersecurity will report into the Enterprise Advisory, Client and ICRM Legal Department. This role will advise on cybersecurity legal matters, primarily incident prevention and response, and will also advise Citi Security and Investigative Services on various matters including internal investigations and interactions with law enforcement agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and advise on in-depth investigations into complex matters of significance to Citi, including involvement in disciplinary processes and advising business and senior stakeholders on investigation outcomes.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to Citi Security & Investigative Services on non-investigation matters, including physical security issues.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to Citi's Compliance function and business lines regarding various compliance topics, including anti-money laundering and other financial crime regulations and investigations.
  • Engage in day-to-day legal support for cyber and information security incident response, including associated privacy implications when needed.
  • Advising business stakeholders on regulatory inquiries regarding cyber and information security issues and/or events.
Requirements
  • JD or equivalent law degree with minimum of five (5) years' experience.
  • Background and experience advising clients on cyber/data/privacy issues or supporting a technology or information security team as well as experience conducting investigations strongly preferred.
  • Self-starter with the ability to engage directly with internal clients and lead significant projects.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
