We are seeking a skilled Patient Services Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care and service.



Key Responsibilities
  1. Greet patients and guests in a friendly and professional manner, utilizing AIDET principles to provide an exceptional patient experience.
  2. Provide patient support and keep informed of delays, taking appropriate action to ensure timely resolution.
  3. Perform all registration functions, including full registration, updating and validating demographics, identification, and insurance information, and completing verification and obtaining signatures.
  4. Utilize technology, such as kiosks and tablets, to assist patients upon arrival and provide efficient service.
  5. Makes appointments, including follow-up appointments, in a high customer service environment, ensuring timely and efficient service across the healthcare continuum.
  6. Collects co-pays and outstanding balances, reviews and reconciles cash drawer on a daily basis, and accurately and efficiently performs non-clinical administrative duties.
  7. Performs and documents patient outreach and call backs for messages received in pool, MyChart messaging, and confirmation calls.
  8. Fulfills organizational responsibilities, including respecting and promoting patient rights, responding appropriately to emergencies, and maintaining a working knowledge of regulatory standards.


Requirements

Minimum one year of recent registration or billing experience working in a medical facility is preferred. Proficiency in patient registration, scheduling, medical insurance pre-certifications, authorizations, and referrals is also preferred. Epic experience is a plus. Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication, and teamwork skills are essential. Demonstrated performance of excellent customer service skills is required.



Education Requirements

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
