Maintenance Lead - Distribution Maintenance

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Lead to join our team at Publix Super Markets, Inc. in Greensboro, NC. As a key member of our Distribution Maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading and guiding the productivity of internal and external labor resources, assisting managers in the execution of the Safety Plan, and configuring new operations, equipment, or processes in SAP.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and guide the productivity of internal and external labor resources in the absence of the Maintenance Manager/Assistant Maintenance Manager or as assigned.
  • Assist managers in the execution of the Safety Plan and facilitate safety-related activities.
  • Assist managers in the development of associates.
  • Configure new operations, equipment, or processes in SAP.
  • Repair and maintain facility equipment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
  • Knowledge of maintenance practices and the ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatics for all equipment and systems.
  • Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot.
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate time management skills (plan, organize, and follow-through on tasks).
  • Ability to teach others how to use manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Ability to analyze information and data.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in written format, including developing training material and conducting presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite – Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of power and electrical systems and controls.
  • Knowledge of maintenance management systems.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing plant or distribution warehousing facilities.
  • Knowledge of safety pertaining to construction and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations if working in a food manufacturing facility.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of computer electronics, ladder logic, and electrical control systems, including programmable logic control systems. This also includes knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and high voltage equipment.
