Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Extinguisher/Suppression Specialist to join our team. As a Fire Extinguisher/Suppression Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and inspections on fire extinguishers, suppression systems, and hood systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and/or annual inspections and preventive maintenance services on various extinguisher and suppression systems
- Repair, replace, fill, and tag all fire extinguishers
- Service and test hood suppression and portable extinguishers
- Prepare electronic inspection reports
- Maintain accurate records of time worked and task-related paperwork promptly
- Coordinate and fulfill assigned duties efficiently
- Work independently while utilizing provided personal protective equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience in the fire protection industry
- State of California FE Type 1 License is mandatory
- Proficiency in NFPA standards, building codes, and fire regulations
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver's license in compliance with Company regulations
- Successful completion of a post-offer drug test and background check
- Exceptional customer service abilities
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without accommodations
- Regular bending, reaching, climbing, and walking involved
