Key Responsibilities:

  • Aircraft Maintenance: Monitor aircraft mechanical status, coordinate maintenance requirements with mechanics, and ensure compliance with airworthiness regulations.
  • Pre-flight Planning, Piloting Aircraft, and Post-flight Inspections: Plan flights, pilot various types of aircraft, and conduct thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections to ensure maximum passenger comfort and safety.
  • Administrative Record Keeping and Collateral Special Duties Assigned: Complete required records in a timely and accurate manner, track flight schedules, and maintain pilot and aircraft flight times, passenger and accounting information, and maintenance records.
  • Communication/Public Contact: Maintain discretion with regard to sensitive information, respond to technical questions, and act as an ambassador for unit operations.
  • Training and Professional Currency: Attend annual industry-standard professional flight simulator-based training courses, complete semi-annual in-house training/standardization/evaluation flights, and successfully complete periodic written exams.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensure/Certification: Certification as a Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot, with appropriate ratings, and possession of an FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1000 hours of flight time in a closely related type of aircraft and/or type of mission, along with a minimum of two years of related experience.

Work Environment: This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week. The work assignment type is onsite, and the location of the job is in Morrisville, NC.
