Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our team at Larson Design Group. As a Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting and documenting construction activities for transportation and civil projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Document Construction Activities: Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations.
  • Monitor Project Progress: Continuously monitor the work of the team to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Interact with clients, contractors, sub-contractors, government agency representatives, and other parties on a regular basis.
  • Resolve Field Issues: Communicate information, respond to inquiries, and help resolve field issues to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Maintain Certifications: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining required certifications.
Requirements
  • Education: GED or high school diploma required. Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike, or related transportation construction experience.
  • Licensure/Certification: NECEPT bituminous and concrete, ACI, NICET Level 2 or higher in Highway Construction, CDS NextGen, KAHUA.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Transportation Organizations: Experience with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, or related organizations preferred.
  • Previous Construction Inspection Experience: Previous Construction Inspection experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Experience working with CDS NeXtGen and Kahua preferred.
