Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Experience: Greet all patrons, staff, and neighbors, creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Entry Control: Check IDs and monitor intoxication levels to determine guest entry, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure the front of the venue and all exits are clean, free of debris, obstacles, and people, providing both cleanliness and safety.
  • Security and Safety: Walk patrons and/or staff to taxis, cars, or homes as needed to ensure safety, and complete incident reports for any verbal or physical altercations, entry or attempted entry of terminated staff or unwelcome guests, accidents/injuries, or other incidents.
  • Trust and Accountability: Be trusted by your employer to allow only authorized individuals into the bar/restaurant, and to remove those who are getting out of control.
  • Code of Conduct: Follow the Lodge Management Group, EE* Code of Conduct.
  • Observation and Problem-Solving: Be observant for trouble, able to see false identification, and generally aware of surroundings, with the ability to determine what to do quickly before a situation gets out of control.
  • Conflict Resolution: If a physical altercation happens, security/door staff need to be able to break up fights and physically eject people from the building or restrain them until the police can arrive.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Protect establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies (BASSET & Food Handler Certifications; any additional certifications as required).

Requirements:

  • Age and Availability: Must be at least 21 years of age and have night/weekend/late-night availability.
  • Certifications: Must provide or be willing to obtain both BASSET and Food Handler certifications.
