Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of I-9 employment eligibility verifications for University employees
  • Collaborate with HR partners to design and implement processes for employment eligibility verification and hiring/onboarding
  • Develop and deliver training to HR professionals on employment eligibility requirements and I-9 procedures
  • Monitor I-9 case status and conduct internal audits to resolve compliance issues and mitigate liability
  • Generate reports and provide data on employment eligibility and compliance, making recommendations for process improvements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform accurate, detail-oriented work and manage multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with E-Verify, I-9, and employment visa processes, as well as knowledge of human resources policies and procedures, is highly desirable.
