Position Overview:
A prominent manufacturing organization is in search of a dedicated Fixed Asset Accountant to join their team on a full-time, onsite basis. This role plays a crucial part in the daily accounting functions and compliance requirements related to fixed assets.

Key Responsibilities:
The Fixed Asset Accountant will be tasked with a variety of duties, including but not limited to:
  • Ensuring compliance with title and registration processes for fixed assets.
  • Recording journal entries for fixed assets accurately.
  • Conducting thorough balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Managing monthly depreciation calculations and postings.
  • Overseeing accounting for assets held for sale.
  • Handling prepaid license accounting.
  • Assisting in the preparation of documentation for insurance renewals.
  • Tracking cash receipts from the sale of used equipment.
  • Collaborating with the Fixed Asset Controller on upcoming acquisitions and managing cash flow to align with budgetary constraints.
  • Supporting borrowing base audits and appraisals.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who excels in a fast-paced environment and is a vital member of the Finance team.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Fixed Asset Accounting.
  • Proficiency in JD Edwards software.
  • A degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Experience with depreciation accounting.
  • Strong skills in Excel, including VLookups and Pivot Tables.
