Position Overview:
The Talent Acquisition team is expanding, and we are looking for an Onboarding Coordinator to play a vital role in our Human Resources department. This position is ideal for individuals eager to embark on a career in Human Resources with a strong interest in Recruitment.
Key Responsibilities:
The Onboarding Coordinator will be instrumental in managing the administrative tasks associated with the recruitment and onboarding processes for new hires.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Talent Acquisition communication channels, ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
- Collaborate with various subject matter experts to resolve outstanding issues effectively.
- Prepare and issue offer letters and contingent offer letters as requested by recruitment personnel.
- Facilitate the processing of new hires and internal transfers in the HR system, while maintaining necessary trackers.
- Keep all relevant stakeholders informed about updates regarding start dates, offers, declines, and rescinds.
- Coordinate the onboarding and clearance processes for new employees, including necessary background checks and appointments.
- Submit access requests for new hires ahead of their start dates and communicate any updates to involved parties.
- Generate ad hoc reports and assist with special projects as required by the team.
- Provide backup support for traveler administration and assist with various recruitment events.
- Maintain an ongoing record of attendees from recruitment events and update their statuses as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is required. Candidates should have 1-2 years of experience in an office environment, preferably within HR or Talent Acquisition. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential. The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic setting. Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to the Albany Medical mission are crucial. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and build positive relationships across all organizational levels.
