ROLE SUMMARY

The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring a hygienic and welcoming environment for residents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of resident rooms, work areas, and communal spaces according to a predetermined cleaning schedule, which may include but is not limited to:
    • Vacuuming and shampooing carpets, upholstery, and drapes
    • Cleaning hard floors through sweeping, scrubbing, and polishing
    • Disinfecting sinks, bathtubs, toilets, and bathing facilities
    • Dusting and polishing furniture and metal fixtures
    • Washing windows, sills, and doors
  • Respond to spills and unclean areas promptly as directed
  • Conduct deep cleaning tasks as scheduled, including:
    • Rearranging and organizing furniture
  • Ensure unoccupied rooms are kept clean and appealing for future residents
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste appropriately
  • Handle laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and distributing as instructed
  • Ensure proper storage of cleaning equipment
  • Foster positive interactions with residents, staff, and visitors

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary within the scope of the role.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or GED is required.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office within a Windows environment, with the ability to learn company-specific software.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent standing and walking
  • Occasional sitting

  • Frequent lifting and carrying of weights up to 50 lbs., with assistance for heavier loads
  • Frequent pushing and pulling of weights up to 50 lbs.
