Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate local procurement of frozen and dry food products, including developing vendor relationships, ensuring quality, negotiating prices, managing logistics, and contributing to product development.
  • Analyze costs and pricing to establish profit margins.
  • Timely processing of receipts and invoices for payments.
  • Assign stock numbers for inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA and USDA regulations by upholding HACCP and CAPA food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to verify quantities, quality, and proper receipt of goods.
  • Maintain accurate records in the Company AS400 system, including inventory adjustments and price changes.
  • Monitor product volumes and generate purchase orders based on sales and inventory levels.
  • Oversee and manage sales performance for various inventory items.
  • Lead bi-weekly sales meetings to discuss product and inventory updates.
  • Coordinate semiannual inventory counts, potentially on weekends.
  • Participate in company events and functions outside regular hours as necessary.
  • Assist in developing marketing strategies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the department manager.
  • Respond to management inquiries as required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in an office environment for extended periods.
  • Proficient in typing and using a computer throughout the day.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds, along with reaching, bending, and kneeling.

Qualifications:

  • Business-level proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
  • Preferred: Business-level proficiency in Japanese, Chinese, or Korean.
  • Maintain a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Adaptability to frequent changes in tasks and workload.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the food industry.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Intermediate mathematical skills for profit margin calculations, discounts, and inventory management.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective multitasking capabilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Japanese foods and sake is preferred.
