Position Overview:
Areté is looking for an experienced IT Linux Systems Administrator to join our Program IT team. This role will primarily be based at our Northridge facility, with occasional responsibilities at other locations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical contributor for the maintenance, configuration, and installation of various Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems utilized in high-performance computing, data collection, and sensor systems.
- Develop and apply technical expertise in Cyber Security topics, including encryption standards, operating system hardening, and audit log management.
- Contribute to the creation of necessary technical documentation.
- Perform routine maintenance and adhere to quality control processes.
- Support system integration and field testing as required.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
- Security+ CE or equivalent certification is required within 90 days of employment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a System Administrator or similar role.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or relevant certifications, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and familiar with Bash scripting or Ansible.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a remote team.

Additional Information:
U.S. citizenship is required for this position. Selected candidates will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
