Position Overview:
Areté is in search of a skilled IT Linux Systems Administrator to join our Program IT team. This role will primarily be based at our Northridge facility, with occasional responsibilities at other locations.
The ideal candidate must be eligible for a Top-Secret clearance and successfully complete a counterintelligence polygraph examination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical contributor to the upkeep, configuration, and installation of various Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems utilized in high-performance computing, data collection, sensor systems, and other IT deliverables.
- Develop and maintain expertise in Cyber Security topics, including FIPS encryption, NSA Type 1 encryption, operating system hardening, and endpoint protection software.
- Contribute to the creation of necessary technical documentation.
- Perform routine maintenance and quality control processes.
- Support system integration and field testing as required.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
- Required to achieve Security+ CE or equivalent certification within 90 days of employment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a System Administrator or similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent certifications or experience.
- Proficient in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and/or 9, with knowledge of Bash scripting and/or Ansible.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently or as part of a remote team.
Additional Information:
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
- Candidates will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
