Position Overview

This position involves managing straightforward, non-technical claims-related tasks while adhering to established quality and productivity standards as directed by management or a claims adjuster.

The individual will handle a specific line of claims or a mix of claims from various segments, ensuring a compassionate service experience that is efficient, equitable, and user-friendly to foster customer loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a connection with customers by understanding and addressing their needs.
- Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, document filing, email correspondence, calendar management, and word processing.
- Manage claim files by locating, requesting, and organizing necessary documents, including reconstructing missing files and routing paperwork to appropriate parties.
- Retrieve, print, fax, or mail supporting documentation as required.
- Screen and direct incoming calls and electronic communications.
- Communicate with customers and third parties to gather or provide essential information to meet quality and process standards.
- Generate and distribute necessary forms to insured parties for completion.
- Accurately complete forms, log documents into the system, and ensure proper routing.

Supervisory Duties:
This role includes supervisory responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: A college degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service or a related professional environment is advantageous.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None required.
- Functional Skills: Strong organizational skills with effective follow-up capabilities, excellent oral and written communication skills, and proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Ability to perform routine tasks of basic complexity under general supervision.
