Assistant General Manager Role

The Assistant General Manager plays a vital role in the success of our drive-in restaurants. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in training and developing crew members, ensuring that food is prepared and served in a clean, safe, and efficient manner, and providing an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, with a minimum of two years of experience, preferably in a fast-paced QSR environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or a related field are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and develop crew members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service and prepare food safely and efficiently
  • Assist the General Manager in managing restaurant operations, including inventory management, scheduling, and employee development
  • Ensure that all aspects of food service meet operational standards, including food quality, presentation, and customer service
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including reviewing sales reports, managing inventory, and ensuring that the restaurant is clean and safe
  • Monitor and maintain restaurant inventory levels, including food, paper, and other supplies, and place orders as needed
  • Complete and maintain all employment-related records and payroll records
  • Reinforce a customer service mentality and ensure that all employees are focused on providing excellent customer service
  • Immediately and respectfully resolve guest complaints and report them to the General Manager
  • Interview and hire restaurant crew and management team members to achieve proper staffing levels

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields preferred
  • Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a QSR environment
  • Required to work a minimum of 5 days per week, including irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and selection practices
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws, as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations
  • Leadership and supervisory practices and skills; effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic accounting and computer skills
  • Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy once given directions; ability to multi-task and successfully solve problems
  • Problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards at Quality Drive-In I, LLC
