Job Summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking qualified special education professionals to join our team in Methuen, MA. As a special education teacher with ProCare Therapy, you will have the opportunity to work with students who require individualized support and make a meaningful impact on their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, taking into account their cognitive, behavioral, and emotional functioning.
  • Provide Support and Guidance: Offer counseling and support to students on a variety of issues, including academic concerns, social-emotional problems, and behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work with teachers and other school personnel to develop and implement interventions to address students' needs.
  • Communicate with Parents and Families: Collaborate with parents and families to provide support and resources, ensuring a cohesive approach to student success.
  • Participate in School-Wide Initiatives: Contribute to school-wide initiatives to promote student success and well-being, staying up-to-date on current research and best practices in special education.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Bachelor's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution and a valid and current state license to practice special education.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience working as a special education teacher in an educational setting.
  • Skills and Qualities: Strong knowledge of psychological assessment and intervention techniques, experience in developing and implementing IEPs, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to student success.
