Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert technical support and leadership for comprehensive due diligence, assessments, remediation, enhancement, and construction of both public and private sector building and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough research, design, conceptualization, planning, and construction of load-bearing structures, including buildings, bridges, roadways, and mechanical frameworks.
  • Prepare and validate reports and documentation to provide insights on materials, installation, design, and construction specifications, ensuring adherence to industry standards for quality, safety, and structural integrity.
  • Oversee the collection, compilation, and analysis of data from various sources including site surveys, blueprints, GIS data, and hydrological studies to inform project development and execution.
  • Utilize advanced structural and civil engineering methodologies to identify enhancements across all phases of infrastructure projects, from initial concept through to operational readiness.
  • Manage the development of construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates, while coordinating with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and compliance.
  • Lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring the durability of materials and structural soundness against environmental and operational pressures.
  • Integrate innovative technologies and design strategies to enhance safety and functionality for end-users and transportation systems.
  • Supervise cross-functional teams of engineers, architects, and planners to ensure successful project execution, managing budgets, timelines, and compliance documentation.
  • Review and approve design plans, ensuring all work meets applicable codes and regulations.
  • Generate technical reports and presentations that articulate research findings and recommendations for addressing structural and environmental challenges.
  • Analyze site investigation data to develop action plans for risk mitigation.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies, subcontractors, and clients in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with engineering professionals and infrastructure authorities on various improvement and development projects.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in structural engineering.
  • Exercise ethical decision-making regarding company resources and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct.
  • Perform additional duties as required by business needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in engineering, with a focus on structural or civil design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience in infrastructure planning, design, and construction management.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and regulations.
  • Familiarity with relevant construction laws and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to conduct inspections and evaluations of construction and design projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in technical writing and engineering software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
