Job Title: Janitor

At Challenge Unlimited, we are committed to providing employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at the Highland I-70 Rest Stop.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to maintain the cleanliness and organization of our rest stop facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking bathrooms, as well as vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors and stairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, glass, mirrors, stall walls, and stainless steel
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors and stairs
  • Empty trash and recyclable cans and replace liners as necessary
  • Dust and clean office areas, desks, and furniture
  • Clean windowsills and windows
  • Obtain necessary tools for the job
  • Clean break rooms and other areas as applicable
  • Expected to safely operate equipment
  • Contribute to teamwork by training and helping co-workers
  • Drive to east and west bound rest stops
  • Perform duties with a focus on safety, quality, and customer service
Requirements:
  • Candidates with a documented disability will be strongly considered
  • Pass federal and state background checks
  • Be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license
  • Pass driving background checks
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Lifting and carrying up to 45 lbs
  • Pushing and pulling up to 45 lbs
