Senior Budget Analyst

The University of La Verne is seeking a highly skilled Senior Budget Analyst to join the Provost's Office. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in aligning the University's resources with its mission and strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement the University's budget, including revenue and expense estimation, to ensure alignment with the University's mission and strategic initiatives.
- Forecast and model budget and planning processes to anticipate the results of various university decisions, including enrollment plans, staffing, and divisional/departmental strategic plans.
- Authorize significant expenditures and financial commitments within the Division of Academic Affairs, including expenditures and commitments related to staffing, purchase requisitions, budget transfers, etc.
- Work closely with the Provost, Budget and Finance, Enrollment Management, university leaders, and academic deans to develop realistic and growth-oriented models for the University, its schools, college, and multiple sites.
- Partner with academic deans to develop effective budget models and align resource allocation for the University's distributed campus organization.
- Provide oversight for the activities of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years of administrative support experience for a high-level administrator
- 5 years of financial or budgetary experience
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use tact and discretion, to maintain confidentiality, to interact diplomatically, and to maintain neutrality when working with a broad range of individuals
- Ability to organize and prioritize needs; exercise flexibility to meet planned and unplanned deadlines
- Ability to support and empathize with historically underrepresented populations
- Business, marketing, and event planning experience
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- MBA or graduate degree or certificate highly preferred
