Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with autism and other developmental disabilities in their educational and daily living activities.
  • Implement Behavior Intervention Plans and strategies to promote positive behavior and academic success.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Assist students with daily living skills, such as feeding, toileting, and hygiene, as needed.
  • Support students in vocational and career development activities to promote independence and self-advocacy.
  • Participate in classroom and school-based meetings and professional developments to stay up-to-date on best practices and strategies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities.
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with students with autism or other developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of Behavior Intervention Plans and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
