Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist Lead to join our team at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing clinical expertise and support to our surgical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to surgical staff, including preceptorship and mentoring
  • Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of surgical technologists
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teams to improve patient outcomes and promote a culture of safety
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
  • Assist with the selection, training, and evaluation of surgical technologists
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or military training equivalency
  • Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and colleagues
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
