Job Overview:

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for the upkeep of mechanical and electrical systems at various car wash locations within a designated area. The ideal candidate will conduct routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, and document service visits in accordance with company policies.

Reporting Structure:

• Reports to: Director of Facilities Maintenance

• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift weights of 25/50/80 pounds regularly.
  • Capability to navigate uneven terrain and confined spaces safely.
  • Clear vision to identify and respond to hazardous situations.
  • Ability to climb ladders while carrying loads of 40 pounds or more.
  • Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Comfortable working in wet environments and properly using personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain mechanical and electrical systems at approximately 3-5 car wash locations.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on all mechanical and electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment to restore normal functionality.
  • Order replacement parts and maintain an inventory of essential spare parts to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate project scheduling and repairs with the Regional Facilities and District Manager.
  • Assist in the installation of new car wash components as required.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.
  • Comply with OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
