Raytheon Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Integrated Photonics Designer to join our team. As a key member of our Systems Directorate and Advanced Technology Programs, you will be responsible for designing, modeling, and testing RF integrated photonics devices and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the design, simulation, and layout of integrated photonic components, subsystems, and systems.
- Collaborate with senior engineers across technical disciplines to develop and implement new hybrid electronic-photonic capabilities.
- Support the development of technical volumes for white papers and proposals, as well as contribute to independent research and development projects.
- Be accountable for technical decisions and communicate effectively with program management, technical leadership, and customers.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers within the integrated photonics, RF, electro-optic, packaging, and signal processing technical domains.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with integrated photonic circuit/chip design, preferably on Silicon platforms.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Experience with discrete and integrated components, RF photonics devices and systems, including RF analysis.
- Experience with integrated photonics modeling and electronic design tools.
- Experience leading mixed-signal and hybrid (electronic-photonic) trade studies and engineering efforts.
- Demonstrated excellence in interacting with customers and decision makers.
