Washington, United States Kaiser Associates Full time

Kaiser Associates stands as a premier global strategy consulting firm with a presence in key markets.

Recognized as a Vault 'Top 50' firm, Kaiser delivers strategic growth and M&A support to a distinguished clientele, including several of Fortune's Top 20 'World's Most Admired Companies.'
Kaiser provides a unique consulting experience that merges the prestige and diverse opportunities of a large firm with the intimate community and entrepreneurial spirit of a smaller organization. With a commitment to strategy, we prioritize development opportunities, accessible senior leadership, and a fast-tracked path to partnership. For years, Kaiser has challenged the traditional travel model, understanding that many tasks are best executed in our own offices, promoting a healthier work-life balance for our consultants and enhanced value for our clients.

About the Practice:
Kaiser's Supply Chain & Manufacturing practice is in search of a seasoned Senior Manager with robust operational assessment delivery experience, adept team management, and client engagement skills to propel the success of the practice and its esteemed clients. Building on the operational support the practice has historically provided in corporate environments, and with significant growth in our commercial assessment practice, Kaiser aims to expand our operational assessment engagements.
About the Role:
This Senior Manager role presents a distinctive entrepreneurial opportunity for a candidate who has contributed to a team with a proven track record in delivering operational assessment projects, assisting clients in identifying key value creation opportunities. This position allows for leadership of a team and offers the benefits associated with a fulfilling career trajectory, including a genuine, sustainable, and rewarding path to partnership.
For candidates with extensive management consulting experience, we are open to considering hiring at the Principal level.
As a Senior Manager, you will:

  • Oversee project management, delivery, client relationship management, and stakeholder engagement in the context of complex, fast-paced assignments.
  • Lead small, high-performing teams of consultants, providing guidance and coaching to ensure efficient and effective research completion, appropriate strategic and financial analyses, and successful resolution of the client's critical inquiries.
  • Structure analyses, organize research and data collection efforts, and ensure quality assurance throughout the content development lifecycle.
  • Manage engagement economics, timelines, and issue resolution.
  • Act as a primary point of contact between the team, senior firm officers, and clients.
  • Develop and propose process enhancements to deliver our operational assessment projects more efficiently and effectively.
  • Mentor and support the professional growth of team members during case work and through dedicated learning and development initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of management consulting experience, including prior involvement in delivering operational assessment projects at a leading management consulting firm.
  • Demonstrated history of career advancement and ambition.
  • Proven experience successfully leading workstreams and small, high-performing teams.
  • Track record as an analytical problem solver capable of deconstructing diverse business challenges into manageable components and synthesizing facts into actionable insights.
  • Creative, strategic thinking while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while juggling multiple responsibilities (client management, project management, team leadership, firm governance).
  • Undergraduate degree from a reputable four-year university or college; an MBA or master's degree in a related field is advantageous.
  • Capability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
  • Foreign language proficiency is preferred but not mandatory.
Our preference is for an individual who can work in our primary office, though we are open to discussing the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement.
