Are you passionate about providing exceptional customer service in a vibrant dining environment? Anna's House is seeking a dedicated Host or Hostess to be the welcoming face of our establishment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patrons warmly as they arrive at the restaurant.
- Provide accurate wait times and manage the waiting list efficiently.
- Guide guests to their designated tables or booths.
- Present menus and utensils, and introduce the serving staff.
- Prepare tables with necessary items such as condiments and silverware.
- Clear away used dishes and utensils, ensuring a tidy dining area.
- Restock supplies in serving areas to maintain readiness.
- Express gratitude to guests upon their departure and encourage future visits.
- Coordinate with servers regarding seating availability.
- Maintain a clean and inviting lobby atmosphere.
- Assist guests requiring special attention, including families and seniors.
- Handle incoming calls and respond to guest inquiries.
- Support the serving staff as needed.
- Perform additional duties such as food running and bussing as directed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
- Familiarity with restaurant etiquette and customer service principles.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Excellent organizational abilities to oversee the dining area.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Work Environment:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and carrying items up to 30 pounds.
- Availability for weekend shifts is essential.
