Position: Junior Environmental Advisor

Arch Environmental Group Inc. is looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, and diligent individual to become part of our environmental consultancy team within the cleanWATER Environmental Division. This division excels in providing consulting services related to stormwater management, wastewater treatment, chemical safety, and drinking water quality, along with various other engineering and environmental services across the region. The selected candidate will be responsible for drafting reports and documentation for diverse project types that align with the requirements of our clients. Additionally, the role involves supporting the initiation and execution of new programs while aiding in the maintenance of ongoing initiatives. The candidate will develop essential skills to manage new projects, attract new clients, and formulate budgets and proposals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Development of Spill Response Plans
  • Permitting and Sampling for Wastewater
  • Industrial Stormwater Permitting and Sampling
  • Pool Discharge Permitting and Sampling
  • Review of Waste Documentation
  • Preparation of CAD Diagrams
  • Implementation of Chemical Safety Programs
  • Hazard Communication Initiatives
  • MAERS Reporting
  • Tier II Reporting
Core Responsibilities Include:
  • Deliver expert evaluations and advisory services to clients regarding environmental management issues.
  • Conduct environmental compliance evaluations and implement necessary corrective measures to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Compile reports for businesses, environmental agencies, and governmental organizations.
  • Adhere to deadlines set by the team and clients.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 2-5 years of applicable education and experience
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity simultaneously
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Willingness to adjust personal schedules as necessary to meet project deadlines and client requirements
  • Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when needed
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Physical capability to lift weights of 25/50/80 pounds regularly
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Full vaccination for COVID-19 is required, with proof needed prior to employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a consulting environment
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • OSHA certification for Emergency Response (40-hour HAZWOPER)
  • Training/certification for OSHA Confined Space Entry
  • Certification as an Industrial and/or Construction Site Stormwater Operator
  • Knowledge of spill prevention and preparedness regulations
  • Understanding of regulated waste management standards
  • Possession of additional professional certifications is a plus
