Position Title: Finance Leader for US Manufacturing Facilities

Company: Acuity Brands, Inc.

We seek a skilled and passionate finance leader to oversee our manufacturing operations across the United States. This role is pivotal in imparting financial expertise and enhancing both operational and financial outcomes at our facilities. Key responsibilities encompass month-end closing processes, financial reporting and analysis, and collaboration with plant management to foster success.

This position requires on-site presence.

Core Responsibilities
  • Educate plant leadership on the financial implications of operational choices
  • Promptly address ad hoc financial inquiries
  • Prepare and analyze operational key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with comprehensive analytics of plant performance
  • Engage in daily stand-up meetings and monthly operational discussions
  • Manage the monthly financial closing process for the facility
Qualifications

Bachelor of Science

Preferred Qualifications

Master of Business Administration

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in finance
  • Proficient in Excel for financial modeling
  • Willingness to be present on the manufacturing floor daily
  • Understanding of US GAAP principles
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and influence at all organizational levels
  • Capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment
  • Highly motivated, self-aware, collaborative, and responsive
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clarify complex issues
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Certified Public Accountant designation
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing finance
Physical Requirements
  • Sedentary Work
Travel Requirements
  • 21-40%
