This role focuses on the maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems, requiring a blend of technical skills and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose issues with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial and industrial clients.
  2. Conduct thorough inspections to identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
  3. Assist the HVAC foreman in repairing or replacing faulty components within HVAC systems.
  4. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  5. Evaluate HVAC systems for efficiency and safety compliance.
  6. Maintain accurate records of service appointments and financial transactions, including invoices.
  7. Manage inventory of tools and HVAC-related materials effectively.
  8. Execute all aspects of HVAC system installations.
  9. Utilize skills from other trades as necessary to fulfill customer requirements.

Qualifications:

  1. 3-5 years of relevant experience is required.
  2. Certification from the Environmental Protection Agency for refrigerant handling is mandatory.
  3. A valid state HVAC technician license is essential.
  4. Preferred: Certification or an associate's degree from an accredited HVAC program.
  5. Strong communication skills to explain HVAC issues clearly to clients.
  6. A valid state driver's license is required.
  7. Ability to adhere to a schedule with multiple service appointments.

Reasoning Skills:

Ability to apply logical reasoning to follow instructions provided in various formats. Capable of addressing problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized scenarios.
