Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects through all phases of design and construction, guiding teams to deliver exceptional results.
  • Contribute to positive studio culture by mentoring junior staff members and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and lead business development activities, including proposals for new work throughout CA and the nation.
  • Expand and reinforce our practice areas with your expertise, building on WRT\u2019s commitment to climate adaptation and social equity.
  • Champion our firm\u2019s environmental ethos of \u201Cdesigning with nature\u201D through interdisciplinary work.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience in relevant work.
  • Degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • Licensure (California preferred).
  • Verbal and written communication skills, including project interviews, design narratives, and reports.
  • Project management experience, with fiscal accountability and junior staff management.
  • Design and construction documentation of public and campus landscapes, with experience from conceptual phases through construction administration.
  • Client engagement and trust-building skills.
  • Practice building and collaboration with colleagues to position for work.
  • Shared values and culture, including social equity, community capacity building, resource conservation, and design excellence.
Preferred Skills:
  • Spanish fluency/proficiency.
  • Hand drawing for design development and communication.
  • Familiarity with climate adaptation approaches in coastal and inland environments.
  • Ecosystem understanding.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • The expected pay range for this position is $95K - $115K annually, dependent upon education, skills, experience.
