Position Summary

Newnan Utilities is in search of a full-time Bilingual (English/Spanish) Customer Service Representative. This role is essential for maintaining a professional and organized Customer Service environment. The representative will assist clients with initiating new utility services, transferring existing services, disconnecting services, processing payments, and addressing billing inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service through various channels including phone, email, and face-to-face interactions, providing information and support regarding products and services.
  • Handle customer payment transactions, ensuring that account information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assist clients with questions related to billing and inquiries.
  • Set up new customer accounts to establish services and evaluate credit scores to determine deposit requirements.
  • Process requests for service transfers or disconnections.
  • Communicate effectively with the Customer Service Team and other departments.
  • Ensure the cash drawer is balanced at the end of each shift.
  • Direct customer questions and complaints to the Customer Service Supervisor or Manager when necessary.
  • Facilitate payment plans for customers.
  • Maintain precise customer accounts and records of interactions, including inquiries, complaints, or comments.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse groups, including vendors, customers, and colleagues in both English and Spanish.
