We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Home Hardlines Clerk to join our team at Kroger. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a safe and clean store environment, and assisting in achieving sales and profit goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for customers, answering questions and providing product information to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of home hardlines products, including features, benefits, and applications.
  • Merchandising and Inventory: Label, stock, and inventory merchandise to ensure accurate and efficient restocking of shelves.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a safe and clean store environment, including reporting any hazards or issues to management.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other sales floor team members to achieve sales and profit goals, and provide support as needed.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, including verbal and written communication, to interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Math Skills: Basic math skills, including counting, addition, and subtraction, to accurately handle cash and process transactions.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve sales and profit goals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail Experience: Previous retail experience, preferably in a sales floor or customer service role.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in a second language, including speaking, reading, and writing.
