Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist PRN to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital. As a Radiology Technologist PRN, you will be responsible for obtaining high-quality radiographs of patients, complying with radiation safety guidelines, and providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain quality radiographs of patients within the department and with portable equipment in a timely manner.
  • Comply with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Operate radiographic equipment safely and competently.
  • Perform all necessary computer operations, including Meditech and PACS, to ensure proper charges and referring physician's orders are verified.
  • Rend patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepare examination rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, monitor inventory of supplies, and maintain room cleanliness and neat appearance of work areas and dressing rooms.
  • Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and all types of care to the patient.
  • Review each exam for technical accuracy and complete verification process in PACS.
  • Assist Diagnostic Supervisor with PACS clean up, including cleaning CR plates, erasing cassettes, closing and sending exams from workstations, etc.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) - Required.
  • Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
