Position Overview:

The Store Operations Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of customer transactions at The Truck Patch. This position is vital for maintaining accurate financial records of cash and credit transactions. The Store Operations Associate also supports the Store Manager and Department Managers as needed to facilitate the effective operation of their roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • None
  • Represent The Truck Patch with professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Welcome and assist customers; respond to inquiries and provide information to the public.
  • Process customer transactions (credit, cash, check, etc.); assist in organizing and reconciling receipts and payments.
  • Input and document information into the computer system, including closing receipts and balances, account payments, and cash receipts.
  • Prepare and balance cash register receipts on a daily basis; ensure cash is ready for the next business shift/day.
  • Accurately check merchandise quantities, descriptions, and pricing.
  • Complete assigned tasks from department managers promptly and thoroughly while working within the departments.
  • Provide administrative support to assist designated staff in fulfilling their responsibilities.
  • Restock and arrange merchandise displays.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software is preferred.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of company policies and procedures.
  • Prior experience in Front End or Customer Service roles is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members and customers.
  • Capability to follow instructions and established procedures.
  • Proactive sales abilities.
  • Willingness to learn about natural and organic products.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Strong work ethic and integrity.
  • Ability to visually assess products for quality and freshness.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate departmental needs.
  • Ability to safely use box cutters.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience in grocery or retail environments is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to bend and stoop to retrieve items and climb ladders; flexibility in neck and waist movements, reaching above and below shoulders, and squatting.
  • Ability to lift loads not exceeding 40 pounds; push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Frequent use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
  • Exposure to varying environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezers, outdoors, etc.).
