The Fleet Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles and equipment, performing daily safety inspections under general supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct maintenance on transit vehicles in accordance with Transdev standards.
• Inspect, diagnose, service, and repair all assigned transit vehicles and related mechanical systems.
• Perform heavy-duty repairs, including engine and transmission replacements.
• Ensure accurate upgrades and modifications on coach systems, as well as on-the-road repairs as necessary.
• Mentor and guide team members within the workgroup.
• Maintain a fleet of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance.
• Undertake additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
• Minimum age of 21 years with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 3-4 years of experience in maintenance of gasoline vehicles is preferred.
• Relevant Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret safety documents, blueprints, schematics, and mechanical diagrams.
• Must pass a DOT physical examination, including a background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver's license is required.
