Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist II to join our team at Penn State Health. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing complex respiratory care procedures to critically ill patients and serving as a mentor and resource for staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced respiratory care to critically ill patients, including mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Mentor and educate staff on advanced respiratory care techniques and best practices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist by the state of employment.
  • AHA BLS certification required prior to orientation completion.
  • Two (2) years of Respiratory Therapy experience required.
  • RRT credential required.
  • Meets and maintains requirements of Policy 211-NAM Professional Advancement Ladder – Respiratory Care.
